UMA Launches SME Cluster Growth at Event in Malaga
The National launch event of SME Cluster Growth by the University of Malaga took place at the recent VI National Congress of Industry and SMEs. The event took place on October 2 in Malaga. Rafael Ventura, Vice-President of Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the University of Malaga and Leader of the SME Cluster Growth project spoke at the event.
Over the past 3 years, the SME Cluster Growth Project has analysed, designed and developed different tools and programs to promote innovation and growth of technological SMEs in the ecosystem of Malaga. The outputs are collected on the project’s website, through toolkits, magazines and other free and accessible resources. One of the main results is the relevance of the empowerment and retention of qualified human capital that nurtures the dynamism of clusters and ecosystems. In other words, talent has been identified as a key asset to catalyse SMEs’ growth.
The results of the project were presented at the event and the topic was discussed at a round table entitled: “Training and Retention of Talents of Technological Profiles”. This national event was configured as an ideal space for the exchange of knowledge and experiences on business growth.
